Frequently asked

Straight answers, including the awkward ones.

If something isn't covered here, the team answers questions directly — there's a contact form at the bottom of this page.

Joining

  • Yes. Membership costs nothing, and there is no paid tier. Some in-person events carry a ticket price to cover the venue, and that is always stated up front.

  • No. A third of the network has fewer than a thousand followers. The registration form asks about your audience so we can put you in the right track — not to screen you out.

  • Yes. The starter track exists for exactly this. Register, say you're just beginning, and you'll be pointed at the beginner path rather than the growth one.

  • No. The registration form asks about your relationship with LoveWorld because it helps us connect you locally, but every answer on that question is welcome, including 'I am new to LoveWorld'.

  • About eight minutes. You can save your progress and come back — the form keeps a draft in your browser until you submit it.

  • You need to be 16 or older to register. Members under 18 have some opportunities restricted and need a parent or guardian's consent for anything involving travel or payment.

Membership

  • You get a confirmation email straight away. Within five working days your profile is reviewed, your dashboard opens, and you're added to your city chapter and niche circles.

  • Keep to the community guidelines, represent the network honestly, and turn up to what you commit to. There is no posting quota.

  • At any time, from your account settings. You can also request that your data be deleted — see the privacy policy for how that works.

  • Core training is in English, with French, Portuguese, Spanish and Korean circles active and growing. Subtitles are added to recorded sessions as translation volunteers complete them.

Opportunities and events

  • Most campaign briefs are open to every member. Commissioned projects are matched on craft, portfolio and location, so keeping your profile and links current is the single most useful thing you can do.

  • Some are. Commissioned projects and brand collaborations are paid, and affiliate programmes pay on what you refer. Campaign briefs and platform features usually aren't — each listing states which it is.

  • You keep ownership of work you create independently. Commissioned work has its own agreement, which sets out rights and usage before you start — nothing is assumed.

  • Yes, and there's a starter pack for it. Say yes to the community question at registration and the chapters team will get in touch.
