Privacy policy
What we ask for at registration, what we do with it, and how to get it back, corrected or deleted.
Last updated August 2026
For the LoveWorld CCAN team: this text is a working draft written to be readable. Have it reviewed against the jurisdictions you operate in before launch.
The short version
- We collect what you type into the registration form, plus basic technical data about your visit.
- We use it to place you in the right circles, send you relevant opportunities, and run the network.
- We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to advertisers.
- You can see it, correct it, export it or have it deleted by asking.
What we collect
What you give us
- About you: name, creator name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, city, date of birth, gender if you choose to give it, and a profile photo if you upload one.
- Your work: craft, content categories, niche, formats, platforms, links to your accounts, how long you have been creating and your approximate audience size.
- Your context: your relationship with LoveWorld, where you worship, your biggest challenge, what you want from membership, your twelve-month goal, and whether you would help build a local chapter.
- Your choices: whether you agreed to be contacted about opportunities, and your acceptance of the community guidelines.
What we collect automatically
- Basic technical data — device type, browser, approximate region from your IP address, and pages visited — used to keep the site working and to understand what people actually read.
Why we collect it
- To run your membership. Creating your profile, opening your dashboard, adding you to your city chapter and niche circles.
- To match you to work. Craft, portfolio links and location determine which briefs and projects reach you.
- To support your growth. The challenge and goal you name shape the starter plan and the resources we point you at.
- To contact you about events, briefs and network news — and only about opportunities if you said yes at registration.
- To understand the network in aggregate: how many members are in which countries, which crafts are growing. This reporting never identifies individuals.
Who sees it
Other members see your public profile — creator name, craft, niche, city and the links you chose to add. You control what is on it, and you can hide your profile from the directory entirely.
The LoveWorld CCAN team sees your full registration in order to run the network.
Partners commissioning work see a shortlist that includes your creator name, craft and portfolio links — and only where you have opted in to opportunity contact.
Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics — process data on our behalf under contract, and only for the purpose we give them.
We may disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.
How long we keep it
- Active members: for as long as your membership lasts.
- Closed accounts: deleted or anonymised within twelve months, unless we must keep records longer for legal or accounting reasons.
- Unfinished registrations: a draft saved in your own browser stays on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. Nothing reaches us until you press submit.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you
- correct anything wrong
- delete your data
- send you a copy in a portable format
- stop using it for a particular purpose
- stop sending you a particular kind of message
Email privacy@lccan.org and we respond within thirty days. If you are in the UK or EU and you think we have handled this badly, you can complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access within the team is limited to people who need it, and we review that access regularly. No system is perfect — if a breach affects you, we will tell you and say what we are doing about it.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and the site working, plus privacy-respecting analytics that tell us which pages get read. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works, but you will have to sign in more often.
Members under 18
You must be 16 or over to register. Members aged 16 or 17 need a parent or guardian's consent for anything involving travel, payment or a contract, and some opportunities are closed to them. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 — if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
